The opening of the Holiday World Show in RDS Simmonscourt tomorrow, Friday 24th January, has been deferred until 1.30pm due to unforeseen and exceptional weather conditions.
The remaining Holiday World Show schedule will continue as planned for Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th January, running from 10am – 5pm on both days.
The decision to defer the opening of the Holiday World Show was taken by the organisers of the Holiday World Show and the RDS, after consulting with all the relevant health and safety advisors, statutory agencies and the principal stakeholders.
Due to the upcoming landfall of Storm Éowyn, Met Éireann has issued a Status Red Weather Warning for the whole county. Dublin is under a red weather warning on Friday from 6am until midday.
Maria Hourican, CEO, Business Exhibitions, organisers of Holiday World Show, said, “The decision to defer the opening of the Holiday World Show was made due to health and safety concerns. We regret this change of plans, but safety is our priority, and we are committed to taking all necessary precautions to ensure the wellbeing of our attendees and exhibitors. We look forward to opening the Holiday World Show to the public on Friday at 1.30pm, and for everything the event has to offer on Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 5pm.”
