Italian Tourist Board

By ~~artAuthor~~ Jan 25, 2021

Italy will be at the forefront of the relaunch of tourism in 2021, as soon as travel restrictions are lifted.

The focus for 2021 will be art cities and active tourism. The big art cities have been the most hit by the Covid-19 pandemic, home to the biggest number of hotels, restaurants and other amenities. They are now ready to welcome tourists back again in big numbers.

Of course, we will focus on traditional but also less known aspects of Rome, Milan, Naples, Florence and Venice to name a few. For example: a tour of the bars with terrace in Rome, or a visit to artisan shops in Florence or again a tour of the hidden gardens in Venice.

Active holidays in contact with nature will also be promoted, summer and winter mountains, vacations on the stunning Italian lakes, lesser known summer seaside resorts such as the ones of Central Italy, cycling holidays, trekking and more….

We also celebrate the city of Parma in Emilia Romagna as Italian Capital of Culture in 2021, a city full of history and art, not forgetting home of mouthwatering delicacies such as Parma Ham and Parmesan cheese!  Learn more here

We also celebrate the 700th anniversary of the death of the great Italian poet Dante Alighieri, with Florence, his birthplace, and Ravenna where he died in exile and where his tomb is. Learn more on www.emiliaromagnaturismo.it and www.feelflorence.it/en
